A little bit about your photographic artist
Being of Ojibwa descent and growing up engulfed by latin culture, has formed my creative soul and ultimately designed my artistic nature. Whether it's food, art or music, I absolutely love all the cultural diversity my sweet home Chicago has to offer. I'm always looking for an opportunity to create art and add some bold spices into every day life.
My favorite types of images are those created in a fun-loving & real-life atmosphere. Photo shoots should never be boring nor should they be dreaded. I want to capture your treasured moments and turn them into works of photographic art; the kind of art that captures emotions of the heart while reflecting you at your best.
I am married to my best friend. Together we are a blended family and have 5 children, 6 if you count our dog Ruby. Another reason that I love being a free-lance photographer is that I get to work around family's demanding schedules. Our oldest child was born with cerebral palsy which affects him cognitively and physically. Being a special needs family has strengthened us in ways we never thought it would.

Loving Our Community
We love our community and it shows. Our passion for photography is embedded into our blood. We believe in the power of still images so much that we seek out those who normally wouldn't dream of hiring a professional photographer and provide them with high-end photographic art. During each donated session, Ren makes sure to share a little bit of her struggled past in hopes to spread some light during dark times.
Ren also donates many sessions to Special Needs families as well as Warrior families. Below are just some of the contributions we have made.
New Moms exists to interrupt the cycle of poverty and create strong families. Our mission is to share the love of God by surrounding young moms and their children with everything they need to transform their lives.
As a former single mother, donating my time here was a no-brainer.
I understand how hard it is to gather up the kiddies and take them to a studio for a photo session. It can be even more challenging when your child has extra needs or sensory concerns. This is why family portraits aren't a priority for most special needs families. It is also why I love in-home sessions. I'm able capture the family in their own comfortable environment.
Humble Hearts is a non-profit organization that is run by one woman, Carolyn Boyd. The annual 'Free Prom and Graduation Dress' event offers free formal gowns to low income teenage girls. This is another event that speaks to my heart. The girls are able to come in to try on different dresses, get their make-up done and pick out accessories PLUS get their professional portrait taken by yours truly.
Donating sessions to families whom are facing life-changing and life-challenging circumstances can bring so much joy to these families. For some of these families, this portrait can very well be the last family portrait with their loved one in it. I take the hassle out of going to a studio and bring my gear and skills to the family home. Sometimes the sessions even take place at the hospital or hospice center.
